The Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program at Churchill High School is calling all students in grades  4-8 who are interested in exploring theater, dance or vocal music.

A special CAPA Performing Arts Camp has everything a future star performer would want to discover. The camp will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 24 at Madonna University’s Lyric Theatre (due to Churchill High School’s theater being under construction). The cost is $25 and includes classes, snack and a camp T-shirt.

Hosted by CAPA program staff and current students, CAPA Performing Arts Camp allows students to gain hands-on experience in their area of interest – theater, vocal or dance. There will be a performance for parents and family at 3 p.m.

Eighth grade students may use CAPA camp participation as their audition for acceptance into the CAPA program in the fall of 2018. The CAPA program is an educational opportunity that’s available to all qualifying high school students in Livonia Public Schools who wish to experience an intense and disciplined study of the arts.

To register for the CAPA camp, visit and go to Churchill’s webpage, then click on Teacher Pages, and select Ms. Hillman’s webpage to find “Arts Camp” application. Registration deadline is January 28. To request an application to be emailed to you, email Ms. Hillman at
